Academic Writing 2
This subject consists of such topics as the structure of paragraph, development of paragraph, the structure of an essay, unity and coherence. As distinct from Writing Skills 2, this subject focuses on developing students' skills and competence in academic writing at the paragraph and essay levels.

This unit focuses on the improvement of students' macro skills: reading, listening, writing and speaking, and knowledge of grammar, e.g. the tense system, gerunds and question forms. It also stresses the ability in using more complicated vocabulary. New Headway Upper- Intermediate (third edition) by Liz and John Soars is its core textbook.

The Academic English I is designed using the course book having the title Interchange Fifth Edition, Richards, J. C., Jonathan H., Susan P. (2017) which contains two cycles, each of which has a specific topic, grammar point, and function. Each unit contains a variety of exercises, including a Snapshot, Conversation, Perspectives, Grammar focus, Pronunciation, Discussion (or Speaking), Word power, Listening, Writing, Reading, and Interchange activity. The sequence of these exercises differs from unit to unit.
The aims of the course are as following:
