In this foundational course, students construct a detailed model of a market economy. Using this analytical model, issues of efficiency in the use of productive resources are considered. Students develop the ability to apply economic principles to business and social policy as they learn to critically assess the economic environment.

This relates to voting registration and constituencies electing members to local and national government. Students study these ongoing developments in this course. Members of local government and members of the National Assembly have responsibilities in terms of representing democratic principles and enacting law by using powers invested by the constitution.
